About This Song
About "Grounded" by Tony Joe White
White goes airborne in spirit but earthy in tone, a mid-tempo meditation on staying put. The groove is a gentle current, his guitar a flickering porch light, and the emotional tension lies in the pull between wanderlust and the grounding weight of home—a quiet, resonant ache.
