About This Song
About "La Sonnambula / Act 2 : Bellini: La Sonnambula / Act 2: Ah! non credea mirarti si presto estinto, o fiore" by Cecilia Bartoli
Bartoli inhabits Bellini's sleepwalking aria with fragile, suspended breath, each phrase a petal trembling before falling. The tension is between slumber and waking revelation—a flower mourned too soon. Her voice floats, ghostlike, over hushed strings, turning stillness into quiet devastation.
