About "I Capuleti e i Montecchi: Eccomi in lieta vesta / Act 1 : Bellini: I Capuleti e i Montecchi: Eccomi in lieta vesta / Act 1: Oh! quante volte (Live)" by Anna Netrebko
Bellini's Oh! quante volte is a window thrown open onto a storm of memory. Netrebko's Giulietta trembles between girlish hope and tragic foreboding, her voice a bird beating against glass. The live tension is palpable—a heart suspended mid-beat, beautiful and doomed.
