About This Song
About "The Deer" by Carter Burwell
Burwell paints a haunting portrait of nature intruding on human grief. The deer becomes a silent witness, its presence both gentle and unsettling. Sparse instrumentation evokes a misty woodland, where sorrow and wildness intertwine in a fragile, wordless elegy.
