About "Petesey's Song" by Smokie
Smokie at their most tender—'Petesey's Song' is a eulogy in soft-rock clothing. Piano and strings cradle a fragile melody, but the warmth is haunted. Calm verses give way to a chorus that swells with grief. A farewell that lingers like cigarette smoke in a quiet room.
