About "Handel: Salve Regina, HWV 241: III. Eia ergo advocata nostra" by Andrew Parrott
Handel's Marian antiphon becomes a plea carved from candlelight. Parrott's ensemble lets the 'Eia ergo' section rise like incense, each voice a thread in a tapestry of supplication. The tension lies in the contrast between the text's urgency and the music's poised, almost fragile beauty.
