About This Song
About "Fauré: 2 Mélodies, Op. 67: No. 2, Ave Maria" by Boys Of King's College Choir, Cambridge
A treble chorus floats Fauré's Ave Maria like light through a cathedral's stained glass. The boys' voices suspend each syllable in hushed reverence, balancing celestial calm with an undercurrent of mortal longing. It's a prayer rendered as fragile architecture—every phrase a vaulted arch of sound.
