About "Rachmaninov: Vespers, Op. 37: VI. Bogoroditse Devo" by Choir Of King's College, Cambridge
Rachmaninov's 'Bogoroditse Devo' is a slow, radiant hymn—a candle lit in a dark cathedral. The choir's low basses anchor a soaring soprano line, creating a sense of vast, protective stillness. It is not folk, not pop, but pure sacred resonance: a mother's presence made audible, hovering between earth and heaven.
