About This Song
About "I Didn't Want to Die" by Carter Burwell
Carter Burwell frames mortality with a hushed, chamber-like unease. Strings hover like fog over cobblestones, a melody that doesn't weep but waits. The title's dread is met with delicate restraint—calm surface, dark current, the moment before a bell tolls in a silent Belgian square.
