About "E.M.D." by David Grisman Quintet
David Grisman Quintet's E.M.D. folds mandolin into the gypsy-jazz lexicon, a chamber-like intricacy bristling with swing. The acronym's clinical cool belies the warmth underneath—a puzzle box that opens into a rueful, dancing sigh.
