About This Song
About "A Matelot" by Didier Roussin
A matelot's knot of swinging guitar lines, Roussin braids salt-sprayed nostalgia with brisk gypsy-jazz precision. The calm of a harbor tune tightens into restless syncopation, as if the sea itself were breathing beneath the strings.
