About This Song
About "Topsy" by Richard Manetti
Manetti's 'Topsy' lurches and sways like a drunk on a tightrope—deliberately unsteady, thrillingly alive. The tune's famous harmonic twists are rendered with mischievous glee, each chord change a trapdoor. It's swing as slapstick: chaotic, virtuosic, and grinning through the vertigo.
