About This Song
About "Rachmaninov: Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom, Op. 31: IV. (a) In Thy Kingdom" by Choir Of King's College, Cambridge
The first 'In Thy Kingdom' is a whispered threshold: the choir's softest register becomes a corridor of shadow and anticipation. Rachmaninov's harmony moves like a slow tide, pulling the listener toward a paradise that feels both near and impossibly distant.
