About This Song
About "Angels We Have Heard on High (Arr. J. Rutter)" by Cambridge Singers
Rutter’s arrangement of the traditional carol lifts the familiar 'Gloria' into radiant choral light. The Cambridge Singers trade plainchant austerity for soaring, bell-like harmonies, their voices shimmering like frost on a cathedral window. Beneath the joy, a quiet awe—as if angels hover just beyond the rafters, their song both invitation and gentle rebuke to earthly noise.
