About "The Seasons, Op. 37b, TH 135: VI. June. Barcarolle" by Barry Douglas
Barry Douglas draws June from Tchaikovsky's seasonal cycle as a barcarolle of glinting ripples. The piano sways between sunlit languor and a faint undercurrent of longing, each phrase rocking like a boat moored to a vanishing spring. Tenderness and unease share the same gentle tide.
