About This Song
About "5 Fairy Ballads (Perf. on Bassoon): No. 5, Fairy Roses" by Amy Harman
Fairy roses bloom in low register. Harman's bassoon gives 'Fairy Roses' a dusky, almost autumnal beauty—petals unfurling in slow motion, thorns hidden beneath the charm. The melody sways between lullaby and lament, a garden where sweetness and sorrow share the same soil.
