About This Song
About "The Last Rose of Summer" by Barry Douglas
The last rose of summer blooms in Douglas's hands as a fragile, fading emblem. The piano traces its petals with melancholic grace, each phrase a slow exhale against encroaching autumn. Sweetness and decay entwine, leaving a bittersweet warmth that lingers like perfume in a closed room.
