About "5 Carols: No. 2, Out of Your Sleep" by Cambridge Singers
‘Out of Your Sleep’ begins in darkness—a low, murmuring call that slowly gathers light. Rutter’s carol is a gentle alarm, rousing the listener from winter’s slumber with a melody that climbs like dawn through a frosty window. The Cambridge Singers balance tenderness with urgency, the tension between rest and waking, comfort and the startling news of birth.
