About This Song
About "Slam slam blues" by Charlie Parker
'Slam Slam Blues' finds Parker in a relaxed, after-hours mood, the blues simmering rather than shouting. The melody is a smoky conversation, its easy swing belying the intricate, darting lines that hint at the genius beneath the calm.
