About This Song
About "Cherokee (Take 2)" by Charlie Parker
On 'Cherokee (Take 2),' Parker transforms a standard into a dizzying sprint through harmonic possibilities. The relentless tempo and his quicksilver improvisations feel like a chase, each chorus a new escape route from the expected.
