About This Song
About "Moose the mooche" by Charlie Parker
A moose lopes through a smoke-filled ballroom on this bebop swinger. Parker's alto sax traces a playful, herky-jerky path, all elbows and grace. The rhythm section chases with joyful unease, capturing the thrill of a creature out of its element, yet utterly at home in the groove.
