About This Song
About "6 Variations in F Major, Op. 34 : Beethoven: 6 Variations in F Major, Op. 34: Var. 2. Allegro ma non troppo" by Alfred Brendel
The second variation jolts awake with Allegro ma non troppo urgency, Beethoven's theme now a restless current. Brendel's touch is crisp and forward-leaning, turning polite ornament into a sudden gust that rattles the windows of the drawing room.
