About This Song
About "Messiah, HWV 56 / Pt. 1 : Handel: Messiah, HWV 56 / Pt. 1: IX. "O Thou That Tellest Good Tidings to Zion"" by Anne Sofie Von Otter
Duplicate of the earlier aria: again, von Otter delivers Handel’s summons with luminous restraint. The string quartet’s spare accompaniment turns good tidings into a private confession, where hope and hesitation share the same breath.
