About This Song
About "Messiah / Part 1 : Handel: Messiah / Part 1: 18a. "He shall feed his flock"" by Anne Sofie Von Otter
Handel's pastoral aria unfurls like a shepherd's psalm at dusk, von Otter's voice a gentle rod and staff over trembling strings. The flock is not merely fed but cradled; the calm is almost too serene, a lullaby with an undercurrent of divine authority, each note a quiet act of grace.
