About This Song
About "Messiah, HWV 56 / Pt. 1 : Handel: Messiah, HWV 56 / Pt. 1: 17a. "Then shall the eyes of the blind"" by Anne Sofie Von Otter
Handel’s aria becomes a quiet epiphany: Anne Sofie von Otter’s mezzo traces the blind receiving sight, her tone both solemn and luminous. The strings hover like early light, turning prophecy into intimate revelation—a moment of sacred clarity that feels less like doctrine than a tender human awakening.
