About "Requiem, Op. 48 : Fauré: Requiem, Op. 48: III. Sanctus" by Choeur De L'Orchestre Symphonique De Montréal
The 'Sanctus' from Fauré’s Requiem opens like a slow sunrise through cathedral glass—radiant yet restrained. The choir’s hushed Hosannas hover between awe and intimacy, never tipping into bombast. Nagano teases out the movement’s fragile architecture, where heavenly majesty and mortal vulnerability share the same trembling breath.
