About "The Gadfly, Op. 97 : Shostakovich: The Gadfly, Op. 97: III. Youth. Romance (Music from the Film)" by Alexander Kerr
Shostakovich's 'Youth' from The Gadfly blooms with bittersweet romance, Kerr's violin tracing a tender line through revolutionary turmoil. The melody sways like a candle in a draft—fragile, luminous, aware of the darkness pressing at the window. A fleeting idyll caught in history's gears.
