About This Song
About "Ives: A Christmas Carol" by Tanglewood Festival Chorus
Ives's A Christmas Carol is a miniature of nostalgia and dissonance—a hymn-like tune fractured by harmonic shadows, as if memory and present tense collide. The chorus holds warmth and wariness in equal measure, a hearth glowing through a cracked window.
