About This Song
About "Carol of the Drum" by Boston Pops Orchestra
The Boston Pops turn 'Carol of the Drum' into a procession of distant marchers, each snare tap a footfall in snow. The arrangement builds from whisper to jubilant clatter, evoking a child's wide-eyed wonder—and the quiet fear that the magic might end. A rhythmic tension between anticipation and arrival.
