About This Song
About "Matthäus-Passion, BWV 244, Pt. 1 : J.S. Bach: Matthäus-Passion, BWV 244, Pt. 1: No. 8, Aria. Blute nur, du liebes Herz (Soprano)" by Gundula Janowitz
Janowitz's soprano pierces the Bach aria like a shaft of light through cathedral glass, the plea 'Blute nur' rendered with tender precision. Beneath the lilting strings, grief and devotion entwine—a heart bleeding not in despair but in offering, the melody a fragile vessel for sacred ache.
