About This Song
About "Beatus Vir (Psalm 111), R.597 : Vivaldi: Beatus Vir (Psalm 111), R.597: 2. Allegro non molto: Potens in terra/ Allegro (antifonia): Beatus vir" by Choir Of King's College, Cambridge
Vivaldi’s psalm setting surges with antiphonal brass and choral light, the King’s College voices carving ‘Potens in terra’ into a mosaic of Baroque certainty. Beneath the allegro’s confident stride, a tremor of judgment flickers—devotion’s calm masking the awe of a power that scatters the proud.
