About "La finta semplice, K. 51, Act I : Mozart: La finta semplice, K. 51, Act I: No. 2, Aria. Troppa briga a prender moglie" by Andreas Schmidt
Mozart's early buffa aria bristles with comic impatience—'too much trouble to take a wife' delivered as a shrug and a snap. Schmidt gives the line a wry, theatrical edge, the orchestra skipping beneath. Lightness here is a mask: the wit moves fast enough to keep a quieter skepticism at bay.
