About "Des Knaben Wunderhorn : Mahler: Des Knaben Wunderhorn: Revelge (Live at Severance Hall, Cleveland, 2010)" by Christian Gerhaher
Revelge is a ghost-dance of a song—Gerhaher’s voice a drumbeat under a skull-white moon. Mahler’s marching dead rattle through the Severance Hall air, each syllable a snapped bone, the irony so sharp it draws blood.
