About This Song
About "A boy was born, Op. 3 : Britten: A boy was born, Op. 3: Variation 4: The Three Kings" by Choir Of King's College, Cambridge
The Three Kings arrive not with pomp but with mysterious, modal harmonies. Britten’s setting is austere and questing, the choir tracing a journey across a bleak landscape. There’s a quiet majesty here, a sense of wonder laced with unease.
