About This Song
About "A boy was born, Op. 3 : Britten: A boy was born, Op. 3: Variation 3: Jesu As Thou Art Our Saviour" by Choir Of King's College, Cambridge
A hushed, luminous plea rises from the choir: ‘Jesu, as Thou art our Saviour.’ Britten’s variation is tender yet taut, a prayer suspended between hope and fragility. The voices shimmer like candlelight, a moment of quiet devotion amid the cycle’s darker currents.
