About This Song
About "Ceremony of Carols, Op. 28 : Britten: Ceremony of Carols, Op. 28: This Little Babe" by Choir Of King's College, Cambridge
A whirlwind of rhythmic drive. 'This Little Babe' sets the nativity as spiritual warfare, the choir's rapid-fire syllables and driving harp creating a sense of urgent, almost frantic energy. Britten balances childlike wonder with martial tensionâa lullaby that doubles as a battle cry.
