About This Song
About "The Infant King (Old Basque)" by Choir Of King's College, Cambridge
A Basque lullaby wrapped in modal harmony. The infant king sleeps while the choir rocks gently between major and minor, tenderness shadowed by prophecy. The emotional tension is a mother's quiet fear: love so fierce it already knows the cost.
