About This Song
About "Rocking Carol (Little Jesu Sweetly Sleep)" by Choir Of King's College, Cambridge
A Czech folk tune rocks the infant Jesus with gentle, swaying charm. The choir's soft, rounded vowels cradle each phrase, evoking a mother's arms and a stable's straw. Beneath the sweetness, a flicker of unease: the lullaby's minor inflections hint at the cold world waiting outside the door.
