About This Song
About "Anonymous: Myn Lyking" by Choir Of King's College, Cambridge
An anonymous medieval melody, 'My Lyking,' is sung with hushed, reverent tenderness. The choir's voices interlace like fingers in prayerâarchaic, modal, and strangely intimate. The tension is between the ancient text's courtly devotion and the childlike simplicity of the tune, a king adored with a quiet, trembling heart.
