About This Song
About "Handel: Messiah, HWV 56, Pt. 1, Scene 2: Chorus. "And He Shall Purify"" by Choir Of King's College, Cambridge
The chorus 'And He Shall Purify' is a rapid, almost breathless cascade—voices tumbling like water through a sieve. The counterpoint is relentless, a purification that scrubs and scours rather than soothes. King's College delivers it with surgical brightness: cleansing as a kind of beautiful violence, silver refined in a furnace of sound.
