About "Handel: Messiah, HWV 56, Pt. 2, Scene 1: Chorus. "And with His Stripes We Are Healed"" by Choir Of King's College, Cambridge
From the lash comes a luminous healing. The choir's texture shifts from stark to seraphic, each 'and with His stripes' unfurling like a bandage soaked in grace. Handel balances the brutality of the image with a gentle, upward melodic line, a quiet miracle in counterpoint.
