About "Handel: Messiah, HWV 56, Pt. 1: Sinfonia" by Choir Of King's College, Cambridge
Handel's Sinfonia opens like a dust mote caught in a cathedral beam—pastoral strings tracing a gentle, expectant arc. The Cambridge choir's orchestral prelude breathes with restrained anticipation, a calm surface beneath which the oratorio's vast emotional machinery quietly begins to turn.
