About "Handel: Messiah, HWV 56, Pt. 2, Scene 2: Aria. "But Thou Didst Not Leave His Soul"" by Choir Of King's College, Cambridge
A gentle aria of promise, the voice rising like a lark after the storm. Handel's melody is a balm, each phrase a reassurance that the soul will not see corruption. The strings weave a soft cradle of sound, the tension of death yielding to the calm of divine preservation.
