About "Handel: Messiah, HWV 56, Pt. 2, Scene 5: Aria. "Thou Art Gone up on High"" by Choir Of King's College, Cambridge
A soaring aria for alto or countertenor, depicting Christ's ascension as a paradoxical victory. The melody climbs with serene confidence, yet a subtle melancholy lingers in the strings, tracing the tension between earthly departure and heavenly enthronement.
