About "Handel: Messiah, HWV 56, Pt. 1, Scene 3: Recitative. "Behold, a Virgin Shall Conceive"" by Choir Of King's College, Cambridge
The recitative 'Behold, a Virgin Shall Conceive' is a single, quiet announcement—a door opening in a dark room. The accompaniment is minimal, almost hesitant, as if the news itself is too fragile to bear orchestration. Here, prophecy arrives not with fanfare but with the hush of a held breath.
