About This Song
About "Flute Sonata in A Major, BWV 1032 : J.S. Bach: Flute Sonata in A Major, BWV 1032: II. Largo e dolce" by Aurèle Nicolet
Largo e dolce is a suspended breath: Nicolet's flute floats a long, tender melody over a gently rocking bass. The sweetness is almost too pure, creating a tension between serene beauty and the faint melancholy of a moment that cannot last. A lullaby with shadows at its edges.
