About This Song
About "Partita for Solo Flute in A Minor, BWV 1013 : J.S. Bach: Partita for Solo Flute in A Minor, BWV 1013: IV. Bourrée anglaise" by Aurèle Nicolet
The Bourree anglaise closes the Partita with a jaunty, off-kilter hop. Nicolet's flute becomes a solo dancer, each accent a footfall on wooden boards. The mood is playful but slightly askew—a smile that doesn't quite reach the eyes, hinting at the loneliness of the unaccompanied instrument.
