About This Song
About "Laird Baird" by Charlie Parker Quartet
Named for a friend, this original bops with affectionate wit. The melody hops and skips, a jaunty portrait in sound. Underneath, Parker’s improvisation reveals a tender, human warmth—a smile caught in saxophone brass.
