About "Star Eyes" by Charlie Parker And His Orchestra
'Star Eyes' finds Parker and his orchestra in romantic mode, but the saxophone's gaze is restless. The title suggests celestial wonder, yet the arrangement flickers with nocturnal anxiety—a dreamy melody undercut by brisk, almost nervous rhythms. It's beauty with a racing heartbeat.
