About This Song
About "Chi Chi" by Charlie Parker Quartet
'Chi Chi' is a blues-drenched Parker quartet performance, the title's repetitive syllables echoing the riff's hypnotic sway. There's a smoky calm to the groove, but Parker's sax probes with restless, almost anxious invention—a tension between laid-back swing and relentless curiosity.
